Weather shift improves the bite

Weather shift and rain over the weekend will produce rising water, steelhead bite. www.Fishsteelheadalley.com offers planning information and advice to make your trip successful.

This 34 inch, 14.5 pound Conneaut Creek steelhead was caught on a Little Cleo lure.  The metal bite has been productive during the warm weather Lake Erie region has been experiencing to date.  That will all change when the next water-event arrives and air temperatures drop dramatically.

Expect the jig bite to improve as water temperatures drop once the water levels stabilize next week.

Generally catch rates have been good.
